First and foremost, it is crucial that all applicants have the proper licensing. The license types required for Bus Drivers are Class B, C, E, or F. Unfortunately, if you have a Class G license, you will not qualify as a Bus Driver for King Charters.

In addition to the proper license, we require a minimum of 3 years of experience driving a bus, and a clean driver record. This means that you should have no more than 2 demerit points and no license suspensions in the past 3 years.

Another requirement for all applicants is an “Insurance Experience Letter”. This letter can be obtained from your current or past employer and shows whether you have any insurance claims when you worked as a bus driver. This is different from a CVOR/driver record, which only shows convictions and fines. If you wish to work for King Charters, it is essential that you have this letter ready.

It’s important to note that obtaining an insurance experience letter can be difficult. You will need to contact your insurance broker, employer, or employer’s insurance company to request this letter, and it can take up to 3 days to obtain. However, if your insurance company is Northbridge, we can help you get the insurance experience letter using your policy number.
